Thanks to an enthusiastic survivalist who recently contacted me I came up with this . They mentioned solar chargers and we got onto a rolling conversation . It seemed like a good idea to me to make a thread on this subject . Not just about solar chargers , but wind up generators and wind up battery chargers too . Hell I even managed to find a site that sells -----wait for it wait for it -------wind up -----batteries . Yep ! I said "wind up batteries" that actually charge by winding them up . technology sure is coming on strong these days .

This is a very interesting site for info on Home Made Energy http://homemadeenergy.org/

Goes into actually making Bio-Diesel, solar panels, wind generators, and water fueled cars. Of course you have to pay for the info (which I have) before you see the plans and all. But it seems to be presented in a way that the common person can read understand and do.
