Howdy folks, I just wanted to get your thoughts on this subject. Not for my personal decisions, just to get a feel for what folks really think.

When is the proper time to if any, to go "grey"? And just how much time do we have? (fill in the blanks for the meaning of that question.)

I know of many folks who are attempting to do such now. Some very well known individuals. All different levels of income and such.

I my particular case. Everything inside me screams that I should vanish off the radar screen. But then I have something inside of myself that pushes me to the hope that one more person could wake up and I may be influential in that.

So, I have made my decision, what about you?

natty.. I dont really think its about "WHEN" as in a set time if signs point to?? I think its a process to that end. slowly withdraw. makes small changes to your routine, daily movements etc. buy extra food etc, but nothing in a big flagwaving way. incrementally gather what you feel you must have . have essentials already prepped and bug out/in plans already fixed. have gear operational and ready.
cook from your preps once aweek or so, to see what you really need and get accustomed to the change, if any.
The big sign for me would be riots in many cities.. particularly food riots. in north america.
I am where i will be come whatever. albeit alone.. there is saftey in numbers , but I dont have the numbers.

I'm pretty GREY right now. My job vanished, my house vanished, and I'm about vanished.

No job, no house, no bank account, no credit card (THEY're after me for the old one, only one credit card), no online shopping, and only a couple of forums, just about off the radar myself.

I heard that a woman was pulled over for a broken tail light and the background check showed she owed a collection agency so THEY took her off to jail!

And with the SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act to keep us safe) bill here in the States the Internet is just about dead.
