Post Re: TX Protector's Wife as a Volunteer ON THE GROUND IN HAITI
TX my prayers for you and your wife right now...

I have have only seen small portions of the news in Haiti...I think I am afraid to look...as admin of this forum if you feel inclined to post some of the photo,s of the first hand account then you have my permission, just throw a warning on them of the graphic nature...

I have no words right now, from the small amount of news I have seen on the TV, the sitauation in Haitis looks terrible..and I have not seen much because I work weekends and I am not around the TV to much...

JOhn Free if you could(not sure if you have) please start a prayer thread in the chapel for all of those in Haiti...

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

I had the chance to talk with her for awhile last night...
It's ugly, getting worse...but supplies are coming finally....mostly a trickle. 90 planes a days isn't much for 3 million people.

They have set up a decent system to make fresh water...somehow they got a Berkey, a pump and containers....
She's is having to deal with a lot of amputations (not her thing)...infections are starting to take hold...dehydration, etc.

Oh...the children...there are alot of children...wandering around...parents probably dead...the Dr.'s are trying to round them up and take care of them...she's said they're aren't many kids 6 teens around...and that concerns her...afraid that age group was killed in the quake.

Rumors of mass graves, bodies being dumped in there without proper records being kept....no good.

She asked me if this is what TSHTF is going to be like.....I didn't know what to say except...probably.

Oh, she's needs a shower...forgot I sent a solar camp shower thing for her...and soap.

Thank you for the update, I will tell DH. I have been worried about all the children I was seeing on the news as well. Your wife just confirmed what I had been thinking, lots and lots of orphans...
