Post Sun-less Tea
Sun-less Tea. I realized that instant tea is 100% tea, so nothing else is needed to make it mix with water. Thus,
I make sun tea without the sun. I put one gallon of water in a sun tea jar, and add 5 tea bags. (You can try different brands until you find the one with the flavor you prefer). We add cinnamon, but it is optional. Set it in the refrigerator overnight. Voila ! Tea !
We drink it all year round. Usually one gallon per day, two in the summer.

Post Re: Sun-less Tea
This is our favorite. For those that like sweet tea. If you want to make it decaf double the amount of tea bags used for it. We cut back on the sugar some.

Snapple Ice Tea (copycat Recipe)

* 2 qt. (8 c.) water
* 4 tea bags (orange pekoe and pekoe cut black tea blend)
* 3/4 c. granulated sugar
* 1/3 c. plus 2 T. lemon juice

Boil water in a large saucepan over high heat. When water comes to a rapid boil, turn off heat, put the tea bags into water and cover. After the tea has steeped about 1 hour, pour the sugar into a 2-quart pitcher, then add tea. The tea should still be warm so the sugar will dissolve easily. Add lemon juice. Chill. Makes 2 quarts.
