Post Simple and Scrumptious Salisbury Steak
This is my favorite comfort food, served with mashed potatoes, garden green beans and homemade biscuits.

1 pound ground beef
1 egg
3 TBSPS crushed Ritz crackers (or bread crumbs)
2 TBSPS minced onion
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
8 ounces fresh button mushrooms (or more), sliced
2 TBSPS butter
2 TBSPS flour
2 cups milk
2 cubes beef bouillion

Mix beef, egg, crackers, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning well. Form into 4 patties, about 1 inch thick.

Brown patties in large skillet, 3-4 mins each side. Remove to plate and keep warm. Drain grease.

Melt butter in same skillet. Add mushrooms and cook 3-4 minutes, stirring. Sprinkle flour over and stir to blend. Stir in milk and bouillion. Cook and stir over medium heat until smooth and starting to thicken.

Return patties to skillet and cook, uncovered, over low heat 10 to 15 mins, stirring occasionally.

Optional, cook 1 thinly sliced onion with the mushrooms.

That sounds yummy! Poultry seasoning? I never would have thought of using that in beef, but I do love the taste.
I'm making this Monday!
