Post Rendering Suet, we dd ours over a fire. Pics
We were given a good sized batchof suet Friday evening and so Saturday morning we added rendering down as one of our chores.
It was already ground and ready to go we just had to stick it in a pot and start melting it.
The fire just be low to med. all you want to do is melt the fat away from meat scraps. Then filter through fine cheese cloth or what you have. A pillow case will work. Clean your melting pot after you melt and pour back i your melted suet to heat up and render again. Twice is best and if it needs it do this a 3rd time making sure you have a clean cloth to filter it through each time.
Store in contaiiners that will take warm to hot fat and cool in fridge if needed. This should be stored in a cold place or freezer. This will be saved to make soap for us in a few weeks again.

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.
