Post Posting Recipes
Hi everyone. Thank you for posting here. Kelee has made me a sub forum for this forum to put all the long term food storage recipes in. Can you all please post them there from now on.

I found out within the last couple of weeks that if I buy the cubes of chicken flavor, or beef squares that if I crush them in a coffee grinder I can then put them in my hydrator to dry really good, then put them in a bottle for use later!

Thanks louise

I think I'd pack the dried chicken/beef bullion in a separate baggie inside the bigger bag if making soup mixes or dinners for later use.

Drying properly would sure add to the shelf life.

I've given the soup kitchen lots of bullion before it goes bad as bullion doesn't have a very good shelf life. It is one thing I keep a lot of in preps because it melts easily in water and adds flavor to anything. Especially if we are without electricity and need to fix on a small stove.

Huh. I've had exactly the opposite experience; I'm still using up bouillon that was Y2K preps and it's as good as a new jar we accidentally opened.
