Rememeber they use rice in alot of pets foods, so that means pet food will incrrease in price..along with anything else that contains rice _________________ In loving memory of my son Chris April 12 1985-June 19 2007 I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner. |

Re: Rice May Triple in 18 Months Speaking of pets and rice, we DO eat a lot of rice, and when we can't afford cat food, the kitties eat rice too. We mix gravy with it, and we and they eat and like it. Cat food that used to be $9 a bag is now $14. So they eat what we do more often now.

WE do the same for the dog..there is no such thing as a left over going into the garbage bag anymore..cats are more meat eaters then dogs..I would suggest you grab a vit b supplement for  fur babies in case there is a shortage of meats...they tend to shy away from the foods with mushed up pills but when hunger strikes I am sure they will be greatful oh and ps canned tuna and salmons do not have enough vit b for eighter....remember to ease your fur babies into home made foods..swicthing them to quickly can lead to vomiting and diaherra just like a human.... _________________ In loving memory of my son Chris April 12 1985-June 19 2007 I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. Re: Rice May Triple in 18 Months Thanks, Kelee. One more thing, when they eat rice with us, they have fewer hairballs, which is a benefit for US, too.

Re: Rice May Triple in 18 Months Easy pet food is hot rice with an egg broken over it and mixed in. Not so good without the egg, but better than having them take bites out of you when your trying to sleep

Re: Rice May Triple in 18 Months This is gonna be way bad in alot of countries where a high% of income goes for food. With high rice price, people will turn to other grain if it's available, driving the price of that up also
