Post Obama kicks off campaign with $50 billion jobs plan
http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/1009 ... ma_economy

MILWAUKEE (Reuters) - President Barack Obama, scrambling to jump-start job creation in a sluggish economy, proposed on Monday a six-year, $50 billion plan to rebuild aging roads, railways and airport runways.

"We are going to rebuild 150,000 miles of our roads -- that's enough to circle the world six times... We're going to lay and maintain 4,000 miles of our railways -- enough to stretch coast-to-coast," Obama said.

Obama laid out the plan at a rousing labor rally where several thousand supporters cheered his every line, especially when he said the United States cannot have a strong economy without a strong middle class.

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

Post Re: Obama kicks off campaign with $50 billion jobs plan
I am going through a few sites that have this posted and boy there is steam coming off of my computer screen...I feel the same way, they did the same thing here in Canada....almost all of our stimulus money went into construction and road work(must say its nice to travel on parts of the highways now)...

But lets look at the other side of the coin, did this create any jobs for the female sector(no) did this create any jobs for those just coming out of college with large student loans(no)...has it helped Joe6pack and his wife and 2.2 kids, well yes but only if you are in the construction industry...

In reality..This is begginning to look the 1930,s depression all over, except its not being called that..If you google the 1930 you can read up on the CCC road crews that were put together by the governement to help families get through the depression...

ok I ranted...I feel we are at the beggining of the depression and heading into further demise, the only holding it back is no has pushed the button yet...but when they do we are in for it ...
