 Re: Chicken tractor- DONE!!! WOOHOO!!!
That is really neat and well made, congrats, and welcome to the ranks of chicken ranchers hehehe
seriously run all your washed vegetable scraps past the birds, anything but meat. If you have 3 chickens, you will prob have more eggs than you know what to do with. If you want really pretty eggs, esp. feed them a shredded carrot once a week, beautiful and raises the beta carotene levels

 Re: Chicken tractor- DONE!!! WOOHOO!!!
psstt.... I've had birds for over a year now 10 layers, 5 12-weekers from a broody, 8 7 1/2-weekers layers & the tractor is for my 21 meats (also 7 1/2 weeks). I also went in on a group order of meaties last year & butchered them myself. I have rabbits & have been breeding for meat & have also butchered one.

 Re: Chicken tractor- DONE!!! WOOHOO!!!
I would love to have a coop here close to the house, I may put a small, (my big one is 4 or 500 feet away) It is 8 by 12 feet, and isw too far for me to get to now. I'm in a w/chair and can't be on my feet for a long time, and can't bear heat. Lung probs I may do one close to the house, because the store chickens and eggs are such low quality
