 Finding used kids clothing
Since they have past the law about childrens clothing..are you find it difficult to get used kids clothing?

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

 Re: Finding used kids clothing
I think if we were still in ATL we would, but we are so far off the beaten path, it hasn't been anymore difficult for us. My kids have clothes to grow into up to a size small in mens. Of course, what "they" don't know about the goings on with your neighbors won't hurt you

 Re: Finding used kids clothing
I think that if folks are having problems, they may want to look at old fashioned clothing exchanges. A lot of families and friends do this informally already, but the way it works is you find someone in your extended social group or family with children a bit older than your own. They hand things down to you the same way siblings in large families used to, if you have no clothing to offer them in exchange you can trade other things like fresh eggs, a hand knit sweater or whatever the families decide upon.
I'll be there are a lot of people reluctant to hand children's clothing over to charity shops these days knowing it is likely to end up in a land fill, by former these informal exchange networks, they clothing can be used until it is worn out.
We're starting to do a bit of that over here, even though there are (as yet) no laws against selling used children's clothing. It is just that it is getting expensive even for used stuff and it seems a waste to give things to a stranger if you can know the child it goes to.

 Re: Finding used kids clothing
There is no problem here in NC, good will lots of consignment shops, they all have an abundance. I hope that doesnt change, my daughter is on her second set of twins, that will make 6 for her, and we get almost everything that they need second hand.

garage sales work...and many faith based charitys run thrift stores..there is also several sites that one can use that have an emphasis on goods that would otherwise go to a landfill. Freecycle is the one I use, and i have seen several advertisements on freecycle for childrens clothing.
(btw the purchase cost of a used kid is just an installment price).
