Re: May 30th welcome new members please post here
Hello all. Just joined after finding my way here from the article posted on Alex Jones' "Infowars" website. I'm a 47 year old married fella with 4 kids, living in the central upper peninsula of Michigan. A registered nurse by trade, prepper by mindset, agnostic by faith, have a wide variety of interests and passions, and a weakness for internet poker and bratwurst. 9/11/2001 was a wake-up call for me, and, after several years of research, I realized in 2004 that the whole shebang was about ready to implode by design. Sold my house in town, bought a shacky-shack on 11 acres in 2005, and have been prepping furiously ever since. I've covered most of my basic needs, should be able to live quite well worst case scenario. Still on the grid, unfortunately, but could live without electricity if need be. Gots critters galore on my spread, from yardbird to dairygoat, beef on the hoof, a couple hayburners, a tater patch half the size of Rhode Island, and a pack of vicious, face-licking miniature dachshunds to keep out the riff-raff. Hobbies include gardening, goatherding, amateur carpentry (it shows), soon-to-be homeschooling, maple syrup production in the spring, canning, rootcellaring, and taking naps. Truly, the only thing better than a nap, is another nap. I'm here to bounce ideas off others, give and get advice, and find a few like-minded individuals in my area with similar ideals and interests. Have been considering a commune-like setting here for a while now, could use a few extra hands/resources to finish some projects. Not sure how to go about it, safety-wise; I have a lot to lose. Whatever the future brings, be it a poleshift, Nibiru's return, armaggeddon, WWIII, economic collapse (all of the above, I fear), I truly believe that some of us have been predestined to survive, and carry on after. I look forward to adding to the conversation.
