I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

Got pine trees growing near you? cut a couple of slashes through the bark at an angle deep enough to 'injure' the inner bark...so the sap will run out. Tack a can at the bottom of the slashes positioned so the sap will run into it. You could do all this 'candle-making' so nature does it for you. Just go ahead and fasten a (real) cotton string so it is suppended, top to bottom, in the center of the can. The sap will take a good little while to 'do its thing' so don't get in a hurry. Once the sap has filled the can good enough, it is then ready to use. It will harden up and will not run out of tipped over. but it *will* burn. Oh, and the older it gets; the harder it'll get..and will take more to get to burning. But this sap is what makes 'rich lighter/ lighter pine such a great firestarter wood.
