I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

I no longer Prep for Me.
I prep for my Son of show him how to Prep for his Family.

Today I took him Prep shopping,
We went to Price-Rite

5 cases of Diced Tomatoes at 3 cans for $1
1 case of peas at 3 cans for $1
1 case of corn at 3 cans for $1
1 case of green beans at 3 cans for $1
1 box of dry milk $9.99, went up $2 since I bought the last box.
1 gallon of vinegar $2.49
1 container of breakfast drink, like Tang for $1.99
He was so excited at all the food he bought for such a cheap price, he was even memorizing prices of other items to comparison shop.

We then went to our local Price Chopper and bought:
4 bricks of 8 oz cheese, I showed him where they usually put $1 coupons for the cheese and he picked up the 4 they had, so he bought each for $1 for 8 oz.

Then we sat and planned next weeks run.
The birth of a Prepper, how sweet to watch it happen.

One of my GF's called me while I was with him and he grabbed the phone and told her all about his shopping trip, full of pride. it was so nice to watch.

I got another pressure canner identical to the first one (but missing the pressure regulator and can lifter) for 50 cents at a thrift store. No more preps budget right now, but I got 9 boxes of kitchen matches for 50 cents each at the grocery store.
Don't forget things like kitchen matches and candles. And other simple items like that.

WAR!!!
Thanks for the alert.
You sure know how to make me spend money.

Did Son's preps today:
Stopped at City Mission Thrift Store: Found:
3 bowl stainless steel set with loops to hang for $2.50
1 large coffee cup $.99 (we couldn't decide who gets to use it)
1 pint canning jar with band $.15

Aldi's:
1 case of canned pumpkin $1.39
1 36-ct box of black trash bags
2 lb bag of carrots $1.19
2 lb bag of pinto beans $.98

Price-Rite:
Stopped in to see if they had canned pumpkin, had shelf tag and space but empty, asked manager if he is getting any in, he said no, that was it, one order and gone.

Hannaford:
2 cases of sliced canned potatoes at $.29 a can after coupons
2 cases of whole potatoes at $.29 a can after coupons

Son was already planning out next weeks run to stores.
More potatoes and 2 cases of spinach.

You da woman, Rubies ! You and Kelee are my heroines and inspirations.
At a garage sale, I got a brace (hand-powered drill) a while ago, but it only came with one bit. This week, at another garage sale, I got a complete set of bits for it for $5.
