Natty -- I have a question for you
Ok, I was at my local coin shop here a few days ago. He was telling me about AOL or something like that where he is supposed to be reporting cash buyers to the Fed. Do you know anything about that? Can you expand on what it is?

Re: Natty -- I have a question for you
Howdy Zip,
The 1099 portion of Obamacare was stricken months ago. Now in France, you cannot have a cash transaction over $600 American. And another country (which one escapes me right now) just recently kept that around $1200 American.
Here in the states, some coin shops have limited themselves to $2100 and less on cash transactions, when they buy (in other words, cash going out of the shop). Not when they sell. The Patriot Act promoted it. Then you have folks like us, who say's: who cares.
Bottom line, no one is required to report what you buy, how you buy it, or when you buy it and report that to no one. Many bigger shops record names of buyers so they can pressure sell you later. Also, the ptb could confiscate that information and tell who has what. At Just Measures coin shop........we DO NOT record names of buyers.
