 My gardening "journal"
We don't have much done as we can't plant for another couple weeks. This is one end of our L shaped bed. I fenced it off (pics of that to come) so the puppy would stay out. This is the end that I tilled. We'll be planting herbs & "weeds" (medicinal). This is the large plot we tilled yesterday- 54.5' X 21' The smaller plot, also tilled yesterday- 19.5' X 16.5' This is one of our trellises. We're building them from a lilac tree we had pulled out of the ground a few weeks.

 Re: My gardening "journal"
oh awesome I just got my boys to pull out a dead lilac tree and I have another one that needs to be pulled down..I will use the branches to make trellises...what a great idea thank you....
and seeing your gardens, maybe I won,t have to put raised beds in the back part...Oh the new idea,s going through my head right now
I just have to keep my cat out of the back part
This is what I love about these types of threads we get to share idea,s

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

Is this your first garden? What are you going to plant? Looks like it's going to be a great space!

 Re: My gardening "journal"
HP, no, this is not my first, just my biggest. Last year I had the small plot & half of the large plot. In the past years I've done container or SFG (rentals) & about 7 years ago we did an in-ground one, too. Keep in mind, we live in a Mayberry town, so I am still on the cusp of urban sustainability (we don't meet the criteria by definition, including the WHOLE town, we're just jam packed into one small area). My list is ginormous!!! I'll have to get it off disk & post it!

 Re: My gardening "journal"
I got about 160 corn seeds in the ground today. I'm going to try it the old timers' way this year. WAY too early to plant corn, LOL

 Re: My gardening "journal"
We're almost 7k. On the cusp of zone 4/5, but we can get snow dumped on us in July. It's tricky here.
