Post Re: My gardening "journal"
Corn plants started coming up & wouldn't you know it- freezing temps tonight. I covered them with dirt & am praying for the best. I also did raised seed blanket over the strawberries & the borage seed. The 3 fruit trees have all blossomed or started to blossom *sigh*

Post Re: My gardening "journal"
Yesterday I got tomato & pepper plants in, and planted more seed for maters.

Today we planted Little's 4x4 plot. He wanted corn, tomatoes, carrots & beans. He only likes carrots & corn & sometimes the green beans, but as he says "I'll grow them (peppers & maters) for the brothers." He can be so sweet sometimes :D

I also had an extra (small) pepper plant, so he planted that yesterday. Again, he's growing them "for the brothers." LOL

I didn't get pics yet, been so busy working, but I should get out in the next day or 2 with the camera. I've also been too busy taking pics of the damaged items for the insurance claim.

I'm impressed for sure! I have a bunch of these gallon jugs, and just used them for water! So you put good earth into it, holes in the bottom..yes? Now when the plant reaches a good height you cut it out of the plastic? I'm in a cold zone so things take a little longer! Can enough sunlight get in there?

I also save my potting soil bags and use those to plant in...I buy manure and potting soil in bags, these ones are great for growing potatoes...

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.
