Post Re: June 2010
We had our monthly prepper meeting at another members home. We fished in their stocked pond, ate fish, ate all kinds of goodies.
We had our prep demo with my Capri Sun bags being reused to pack items for camping or the car. I made one with trail mix, one with a campers personal care of a half wash cloth and a bar of travel soap, and another with a car or bag mini first aid kit with 6 bandaids, 6 alcohol wipes and a pair of gloves.
We also had a fairly complete CPR demo, with discussion to follow. We spent some time with three new people who had come to check us out, none of whom will probably join us, but that's just fine...one was aware and living the prepared life, nice but didn't really feel the need to get together with others. The next was aware, kept a wee bit extra but more into politics. The last was a nice common sense family, he more than she was aware, but neither saw the need to join a group and learn more preparedness. One of our families young (24 yrs) daughter joined us and she and her boyfriend are getting more into their children and thinking of the future, which is nice to see.
Next month, we will be learning about snares and hunting mushrooms and learning more about land features and how they can help you.

OK, went into Rite Aid to get antibiotic.
Now usually I don't have my coupons on me, if you saw them you would definitely understand why.
Well, I had some for Motrin PM, 2 that were $3 and 4 that were $2 each
If you bought a 24 ct Motrin PM, you received back a $3 up rewards to use on next purchase.
Sick as a dog and coughing my lungs up, I still had to wait for the Rx to be filled, so I put those 7 minutes to good use.
I did 6 transactions:
1 Motrin PM $3 - $3 coupon = Free + $3 up reward
1 Motrin PM $3 - $3 coupon, 1 ThermaCare 2pk Knee Wrap at 1/2 off - $1 coupon on pack - $3 up reward = Free, plus another $3 up reward
1 Motrin PM $3 - $2 coupon, 1 Ben Gay Pain patches 5pk 1/2 off - $2 coupon - $3 up reward = free, plus another $3 up reward
1 Motrin PM $3 - $2 coupon, 1 Ben Gay Pain Patches 5pk 1/2 off - $2 coupon - $3 up reward = free, plus another $3 up reward
So now I have all that for free and $6 in Up rewards to use on my next purchase.
Love to get free and make money on it

This evening we all went to 13 years olds graduation and on our way home we stopped at one of the variety stores..they had a small grocery cart and the sign said anything inside 25 cents..there was 5 boxs of parowax in the cart..did'nt take me anymore then one second to snap them up...lol...

woohoo they are usually about 2.39 or more a box up here..

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

WOOHOO!! I got 2 cases of bottled water on sale for $3.49 each. It's 50¢ more than the store brand, but the bottles are sturdier on the aquafina. Since it's for the BOK's, I want sturdy. Wasted money if it breaks to save a whopping 50¢. I also picked up 24 cans of tuna on sale for 50¢ each.

I got a Dremel tool. I didn't get a bargain price on it, but since it can be used for so many projects, I count it (and my other tools) as part of my preparedness equipment. I have already done two projects with it, and the $65 I paid for it will soon be paid back.
