Post I Think It's Safe For Us To Plant
We live in a bit of a valley that has the potential to freeze about two weeks later than the rest of the area. The forecast doesn't have us dropping below 60 degrees for the next 10 days, so I think it's safe to put in some warm weather stuff. The oak leaves are about the size of my palm, so I'm pretty sure we've passed the "squirrel ear" stage.

I need to plant tomatoes, peppers, beans, squash, cukes, melons, and corn. The rush of getting everything planted stresses me every year, and this is no exception.

The spring garden was a bust since the garden was under an inch of water. Hopefully the summer stuff will be a little better. With the way things are going we probably won't see any more rain until October since we were so wet.

Beaners, I'm about 50 miles north of Pittsburgh.
Got some of my stuff in last weekend.
Between the rains I did get a lot of my garden planted

Potatoes, some tomatoes, carrots, turnips, beets, garlic, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, some green and yellow beans and peas.
Watermelon, cantaloupe, cukes and several kinds of squash and eggplant
I worked this weekend but got some sweet corrn, sunflowers,a few more tomatoes, peppers and cabbage

I'm off this coming weekend and will put some field corn and some more beans and peas

I'm down near Greensburg. We just kept getting enough rain that I couldn't work any of the garden. I'm regretting turning over the patches that I did while it was too wet, because it's like breaking bricks now.

I've gotten most of my tomatoes and peppers in, and almost all of my bush beans. I did hoe all of the overgrown weedy sections, but I've got some red shoulders to show for it.

Hopefully today I'll be able to get in some of the corn and the winter squash that I'm trellising to save space.
