 HOLIDAYS 2011
Post your HOLIDAY stuff here! I am almost moved into my new slum apartment. We went to the local Methodist Church for Thanksgiving dinner. So Thanksgiving was not a total bust. Christmas will be skimpy this year. Only COAL in the stockings this year and that will be good because I can burn it to keep warm since my GAS might still be off by then. GOD THEY are getting totally crazy with things today. You have to get notarized paperwork and give them all kinds of information just to get the gas turned on! With the way things are going there will be NO holidays in 2012. Things like guns & ammunition will be on Santa's list or a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Card Hope you have a happy holiday this year because I seriously think that 2012 will not be happy.

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
Not when they're hungry! They'll look back at that as the most brilliant Christmas present ever!

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
I've been hitting Sam's Wholesale Club all year for 20 & 40 pound bags of rice & beans. Don't forget the protein whether it be meat or vegetable. You can live for a long time on rice & beans. Sprinkle some cheese on it for a real treat. It's rice & beans for everyone for Christmas this year and some coal in the sticking so they can heat it up. I've been talking to friends and everyone is cutting back. THEY are planning on CRASHing the financial system early 2012. I heard & read this on the Alex Jones website. THEY are going to let us have one last Christmas, how nice of THEM. Everyone have as good a holiday as possible.

Ah, left-over Turkey. Not a whole lot this year, cut-backs you know.
First SNOW today - BRRRRR! I like it better than the rain we've been having though.
Hopefully I'll be finished moving this weekend.
It's almost December. It will soon be another Turkey day, or ham.

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
Good luck getting settled in and the gas turned on. Moving is never fun and in the cold weather even worse. We moved once in Dec. ack. The kids and I moved everything but the heavy things like washer, dryer, fridge etc. and when Hubby got off work he helped me with those. We have had snow for over a month now. It has melted back but all total around 16 inches so far and the snow man the grand kids built is still standing strong. We helped oldest son with gas money to move out here so this will be a very slim Christams; people will get hand knitted fingerless gloves, hats and scarves along with baked goods. I have been picking up bags of yarn at a second hand store for a long time.

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
Yeah it's not much fun in the cold.
Last time I don't remember this much trouble getting the utilities turned on but with the wurld the way it is...
Got a letter today and I have to vacate immediately. There is no 30 days or a week anymore. When THEY take your home they want you out NOW and take everything; more likely a big dumpster. I figure I have this weekend and that's it.
Wells Fargo bought the house from themselves at the Sheriffs auction. Sounds fishy to me. But what isn't anymore in today's bizarre twisted economy & politics?
The small town I'm moving to had a Holiday thing today. They had a band on the courthouse square and horse drawn carriage rides with BIG Belgians. All the Christmas decorations around the courthouse went up last week. I'm a bit behind in my Xmas stuff but after this weekend I'll get the lights burning, if I can find them in all the boxes.
I want nothing to do with a big city with the coming storm. Thank GOD I have a friend in my new town.

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
We had a pretty good Christmas. No presents but it was good.
I got my Christmas Tree up a couple of weeks ago. Not as fancy as normal but it's lights all work and that's what matters.
My boy-friend took me to Midnight Mass, I'm not Catholic though. It was good mass and after the Reverend invited us all to the Rectory for food & refreshments. It was an unexpected event. We did not get home until after 3 AM.
We slept in a bit then went to my house I'm loosing and got a few more of my things; we're about done with that. On the way home we noticed our favorite Chinese Buffet was open and it was packed. So we had another good meal and a good time.
You don't need presents & stuff for a good time. I don't even have a cell phone anymore. But I fear a friend I have not heard from for a while lost out with the MF Global Scandal as did many others. I warned them but...
Overall it's been pretty good this Christmas.
Happy Holidays to all!

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
Christmas was good but... My friend is sick or depressed or both. We've both been fighting the FLU-BUG. So New Years will be a bust; never liked it much anyway. Well, it's about over - 2011. We'll see how BAD 2012 will get and I do think it will be B-A-D-! I've got a place I can check for a part-time job. It's nothing like I'm used to but... I draw the line at working Fast-Food! I did that in High School plus I don't speak Spanish. So don't party too hard tonite. See you next year!

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
We're playing Scene It, The Star Trek edition, drinking punch made with sherbet and ginger ale, and eating cookies. Our little geek children are holding their own at scene it and the boys are actually beating us. Worst Christmas ever, and it wasn't just because of money. Oh well, it's a new year now.

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
This is still Holidays, at least that's what I consider the first part of the New Year. The Christmas tree is still up. I've had it up all through my unemployment hoping... It's BAD! Cat's sick & dying. I'm a mess. Another job rejection. The NDAA Bill... IT JUST DOESN'T STOP! I hate to say this but GOD doesn't give a CRAP! But I still believe. I'm beginning to wonder if this is HELL and I sinned in some other life. But I guess people thought that in Europe during WW-II. Oh, I got banned permanently from www.survivalistboards.com. And I did not do anything this time. I guess THEY don't like my artwork - SCREW THEM!!! It's all about GUNS and how much I'm HOARDING or other stuff. But occasionally there's some good stuff. But I guess I harped too much on the NDAA Bill, that and some moderator decided my new artwork matched my old stuff which got me banned last time. Oh well, I guess I'll have to live my life as a TROLL on www.survivalistboards.com. I seriously doubt the Internet in its' current form is going to last much longer. And I had to re-register with YouTube; THEY went and changed things and my old account quit working. Now it goes thru Google which I guess owns them now. Surprised that Alex Jones can still post videos there. Like I said - Good Luck to All! We're going to need it with the coming storm.

 Re: HOLIDAYS 2011
Today Jan 7 2012 is mine and the kids Christmas..it is one of my days off this week and I refused to give into the commercialization of the holidays...and the price gouging...
I took 100.00 and was able to buy 400.00 worth of stuff...its sounds like a lot but the way prices went up this year for holiday season items it did not come out to whole lot..most of the stuff I got was candies and chocolates that had been marked down from 8.99 to about 1-2 dollars...
I got myself 4 Christmas oven mitts for 86 cents each, 4 pillars candles for 1.00(reg 8.99) a set of 4 purple tea candles for 1.00 (reg 7.99) and a travel coffee mug for 2.00(reg 9.99)...oh and couple of chocolate goodies for me..( so not only did I score preps items, I will display these on shelves)
my best score for the kids was scooters regular 39.99 for 10.00...they use these in the summer and try to borrow each others for their friends..now they will have 2 and they can share with their friends and not fight..lol....
watch for Christmas clothes at good prices also..I got bunnylove some Xmas socks regular 4.99 a pair for 56 cents a pair..even if just worn around the house to keeps toes warm on the weekends..
The deals are out there and you can better on the holidays by postponing Christmas until after the date set by commercailism...
I will be out and about all this week on the hunt for more goodies..we may end up having several Christmas through out the year...lol
Oh and a bit of good news and I will update in my other thread about my house..the line of credit I was worried about is not secured against my house..so the worst thing the bank can do to me is take a lien out against my house..thank goodness someone will help me with this..it seems most hotlines will not touch you with a ten foot pole if you have more in assets then you do debts...
