I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

 Re: gardens and such 2010
nice! we put the cages on the tomatoes today & picked 11 quarts of strawberries. My elderberries are going to bear for the first time this year and are looking real good. Raspberries are loaded and though hard are showing the first signs of pink. The potted tomato gave us it's first ripe one today!

 Re: gardens and such 2010
Strawberries are starting to play out...probably have just a couple more days of picking. We've gotten about 45 quarts or so from the two 16' beds so far. I'm moving the beds this year, so we'll see how it goes when I plant them a bit differntly in the new beds. I'll be glad to have the dirt in the strawberry beds cleaned up and ammendments added to it. The raspberries have given me about a cup of berries, so I'm expecting a nice big wave of them in about a week or so. Lettuce is ready for me to start picking and the patio tomato is giving fruit. It's been so dry here that things aren't growing quite as lushly as normal, but so far, so good.
