FREE mylar bags and tip !
We all have heard of mylar...that miricle stuff thatwill help you preserve food for years and years. You can only get it on line I think and it can be pretty pricey. Well, I heard a tip on where to get small packs of mylar 100% free and how to use them. Frankly, your own imagination and the size of these mylar packs are all that hold you back. If you, your kids or grandkids have been to the store, you have probably seen or gotten one of those Capri Sun drinks. They are little pouches (that happen to be mylar) and hold a beverage. These can be easily recycled for you to reuse! Directions: 1. cut off the top of the package below the straw hole. 2. wash well and dry 3. fill and seal What to put in your free mylar bags: a mini first aid kit that won't get damaged in the car or backpack a personal cleaning kit with a hotel size soap, shampoo and washcloth individual spices for camping, your bug out bag etc. seasoning mixes for tacos or rice, make up meal sized portions in the bags and create a stockpile make your own flavored oatmeal with brown sugar or dried fruit package your own trail mix make a mini sewing kit for emergencies make up a mini fishing kit...hooks line and sinker, maybe even one of those fake worm things put your extra seeds in them

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

I did this with a chip bag and sealed a small box of .22 shells in it. I ate the chips, turned inside out, washed it, filled it with shells and sealed the end with a hot iron. If you try this becareful with the heat setting on the iron, to hot will melt it and to cold and it wont seal.

I wonder do I own an iron..not sure..tells you how often I use one...if I don't have one I will find one at used store and give this a try...I eat alot of chips...I have very low blood pressure 70/40 at times, so I eat alot of salty foods and chip bags just always get thrown out..so thanks for the tip i will hold on to them from now on...

Re: FREE mylar bags and tip !
Another very thick mylar bag, although very small, is the packet that contain "Emergen-c". About the size of a tea-bag packet. This is a vitamin supplement effervescent powder you can pick up by the box in health-food stores, even W*lM*rt has it. Also the powder makes a pretty good instant "fruit juice" replacer. (Better than TANG or whatever nutritionally...)
Not much room in there for FOOD, but great for vites, meds, herbs, etc.
