 Re: Finding Morel Mushrooms
i know that morels are for the most part easily identified but it cant be stressed enough..
never ever go picking mushrooms to ingest using nothing but a field guide for identification.
find a competent mycologist in your area and take a few trips with them and get hands on identification tutorials before embarking on a harvest of your own.
it could save your life..
(not necessarily directed at you war tide, more to anyone reading this thread..)

 Re: Finding Morel Mushrooms
Had a friend who's Father was a competent mycologist, was out picking mushrooms all the time. Ended up in hospital tripping once, seems he ate the wrong one, so even the best make mistakes. You alll be careful.

 Re: Finding Morel Mushrooms
Ah, I got that whipped, Morels grow all over my fence line in the leaves from the trees. I'll bet I've already picked and dried 10lbs of mushrooms so far this spring. They are tasty add ins for about any meal and make a cheap piece of meat taste excellent.
