4 bottles of 64 oz Welch's Purple Grape Juice, price has gone up to $5.19 per bottle, got them price modified down to $3 with my rain check and manager said they would accept my expired Rite-aid coupons due to the long wait to get them restocked, then I also had $1 manufacturer coupons to use on them. 2 bags of Hershey's Mini Eggs on sale at $1.99 minus $2/3 coupon and $1 Rite-Aid coupons 2 bags of Hershey Kisses, same as above 2 bags of Reese's Mini eggs, same as above Paid 94 cents for $32.70 in merchandise
2 bottles of Welch's purple Grape Juice, same deal as above 2 Skintimate Shaving Gels $2.50 each 1 Intuition Razor $6.99 1 - 4ct Sol. Bic Razors $4.99 Paid $1.48 for $28.86 in merchandice after $1 rebate
Did this 3 times: 1 Prevacid Capsules 42 ct $25.99 Paid 99 cents each after coupons
1 Simply Saline $5.99 4 Rite-Aid Apricot Scrubs $3.29 each Paid 57 cents for $19.15 in merchandise

Great deals Rubies!
I ordered my grain mill as well as 2 sets of 3 portable solar panels. One set of solar panels will run our HAM radio set up for many hours, but we also got the second one to run small appliances such as the dehydrator, charge batteries and tools. Another use for the unit is to run our water pump periodically if the grid goes down without depleting our generator fuel.

 Re: APRIL 2010
I finally got totes and pop bottles under the stairs and in the cupboard beside the stairs...now my basement looks like a basement and not a tote grocey store
I had to stop for about 3 weeks, because of being so sick...I could barely get anything done...
Today well the tools need to be moved to the shed, and I need to move the 300lb sauna back about 12 inches(should be fun)will get 19 year old to help me
Its nice to own your own home,it is the step by step of getting things organized..

I don’t think it’s a matter of “is it coming.” I think that it’s already here, it’s just a matter of perspective. From one perspective, our frog friends are telling us that we should be grateful that the “spa” is hot and luxurious. From the cook’s perspective… another 10 minutes and we’ll be dinner.

 Re: APRIL 2010
We had a big shopping trip yesterday. We stopped by Tractor Supply to pick up a couple more J-feeders for the rabbits. That should cut down on the spilled feed when the rabbits in the grow-out cages decide to zoom around. They had chicks, but they weren't marked down. They seem to be marked down everywhere else except here. It's probably just as well, it was much easier to resist buying expensive chicks than cheap ones!
We got a few cases of corn and ro-tel and some other veggies that we were getting low on. We also got some butter (75 lbs!) at 50¢ each. The butter went straight into the freezer and it will be a couple years before we finish it. The sell-by date was coming up and it was marked way down. Target had Del Monte vegetables at 50¢ so we grabbed a few dozen there too.
Then we decided to stop over to the Goodwill on that side of town. They don't usually have much at decent prices, but I figured it was worth a shot since we were already over there. Score! They had canning jars at 25 cents each. We packed 4 dozen jars into loose corners of the car, and my husband is going to try and swing back today with an empty car for the rest. I'd be happy to pay that for half-pints, but they had everything including wide-mouth quarts. I love using those for my pickles, the narrow mouths give me fits when I have to pack things in like that.
Hopefully there will be more half-pints because it's dandelion jelly season here. It takes forever to make but the dandelions are free and there isn't much else to can this time of year. I'm also playing with a violet/apple blossom recipe that I might enter in the fair if I can get it just right. I can use any kind of jar with paraffin and a pretty bonnet for jelly at home but the fair rules need real jars and lids. Aldis is also marking their pineapples back down to 99¢ so I think I will can up a few batches of pineapple for later too.
We have duck eggs in the incubator and our turkey hen just started laying. I don't know if our tom is old enough to breed yet, so we may put a batch of quail eggs through the incubator before we try the turkey eggs. The rabbits are popping out litters like clockwork too. That busy time of year seems to be coming up fast!

 Re: APRIL 2010
I bought more canned chicken, I plan to use it in place of hamburger in tomato sauce-based hamburger helper (I'll use tuna in the cheese-based kinds). I bought a little more spam to use with the rice and beans. I'm stocked on carbs, but since protein costs more, I'm still stocking there. I bought some more canned vegetables and amazon had a candy sale so I added some candy and chocolate. Nice balanced additions! Meat, vegetables, and candy!

 Re: APRIL 2010
Beaners!! Wow!!! OK, I am envious to say the least canning jars and butter at 50 cents!!! Your aldi's charges less for the pineapple. We went to ours, none left at $1.39 each and no strawberries at $1.19 each Was going to pick dandelions for jam and wine but weather turned bad here and dandelions aren't even opening. Post pictures of egg hatching please.
Tygerkittn!! Sounds like you are doing good stocking up on the proteins. nothing like adding chocolate, yummy!
DS and I went to pick up another 100 pounds of white hard wheat and also picked up some poppy seeds while there. Then went and bought another 48 cans of veggies, with sale and store coupon they ended up costing 4/$1, can't find that anywhere any longer, so we now have 96 cans stocked from this sale. aldi's had baby carrots 2/$1, bought DS some but didn't pick any up to dry or freeze, way to much going on here nad way behind on other things i have to get done. wish there was more time in a day.
Sounds like a good haul all around.
